Trump's Family Member Gets Expert Tips from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA Debut

Emerging athlete preparing for significant competition

The rising star maintains considerable social media following

Kai Trump can count on plenty of prominent backers as she starts her LPGA debut this Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who is connected to a former US president, received a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.

The former president, someone who loves golf, possesses multiple international courses and regularly matches against his granddaughter.

"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she revealed.

She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."

"He basically suggested to play and have fun," she added.

"From my perspective, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, making him quite busy."

While still amateur, Kai has competed in only three events this year and has ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

Yet she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, who is dating Kai's mother.

"He represents the best player globally," Kai stated.

"And he's an even better human being. He told me to go out there, have fun, following whatever happens."

The golfer will compete against some of the biggest names in the sport at this tournament, featuring second-ranked the champion, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers stated that involving Kai brings golf to different demographics, especially reaching youth audiences.

The social media influencer maintains millions of followers and just introduced an exclusive clothing and lifestyle company.

The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
