Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt able to express about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has passed that I can now express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the movie, commenting that he cannot recall "one day without mirth".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a distinct essay, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the protagonist.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he comprehended the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to block the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the LAPD.

A legal directive placed a embargo on the cases to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" connected to the ongoing investigation.

The relevant authority had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a record citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering controversial claims that were met with immediate backlash by several individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the detractors recently. Talking on his program, Rogan described the remarks as "disturbing" and implied they demonstrated a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an associate ought to have stepped in when the impulse to speak on the death was made.
