On Monday, Leicester Crown Court heard call records and information retrieved from phones recorded Ms Wandelt consistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a genetic test during 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - when she was three years old during a vacation in Portugal - is one of the most widely reported child disappearance cases and remains open.

'I Do Not Need Money'

Another recorded message, presented in court, captured Ms Wandelt declaring: "I know I'm overweight and unattractive like Madeleine was, but I feel what I feel."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's answerphone expressed: "Imagine there is a tiny probability that I'm her? Then what? Is that not crucial for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I maintain a living here in Poland, I just want to understand," she added.

The tribunal was told that by means of emails, mobile messages and communications, Ms Wandelt requested a biological test, sent youth pictures to her phone in a effort to demonstrate a resemblance to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and stated to have "memories" from a youth with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an intelligence analyst with law enforcement who compiled the evidence, informed the court there "showed no any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore reached out to family friends of the McCanns, based on the communication logs.

On October 9th, 2024, Gerry McCann answered a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "incorrect contact information."

During that incident Ms Wandelt left a recording on Mrs McCann's answerphone declaring "I will continue and I plan to establish my point."

The court learned Mrs Spragg established a relationship via internet with Ms Wandelt prior to assisting her on a appearance to the McCanns' home in that area in that winter.

Call logs revealed Mrs Spragg had communicated via WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to say the media had characterized Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she should be considered genuine in the period preceding the appearance to the village, that area, in December 2024.

The court learned message exchanges between the two defendants, in that autumn, discussing endeavoring to get Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her trash or from cutlery at a restaurant.

"We need to make a stand," Mrs Spragg advised Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the trip to their house, Mrs Spragg sent a communication which said: "We're currently sitting adjacent to the McCanns' residence with our headlights off similar to investigators. I had hoped to accomplish this with another person I didn't imagine I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The case continues.
